DESCRIPTION: PONDEROSA LEATHER GOODS COMPANY, INC. is the first contract manufacturer in the Philippines of baseball and hockey gloves for major Sporting Goods companies in the United States, Canada and Japan. As a Board of Investment (BOI) registered firm, the company is able to compete head-on with manufacturers from all over the world. Established in 1980, PONDEROSA started as a manufacturer of baseball gloves. Since then, it has gone through three (3) expansion programs with the Board of Investments for its baseball glove operation. In 1990, the company added the manufacture of hockey gloves to fill in its production capacity during the slack season of the production of baseball gloves. Since beginning in 1980, the company has grown into one of the largest baseball glove factories in the world, having an annual production capacity of one million gloves. | |
