DESCRIPTION: Apple ABC began as a single service provider engaged in English tutorial services. It started as a home-based part-time job, teaching English to a small number of other nationalities via online channels. The services, via word of mouth, spread, and therefore became the reason for offering its service within the neighborhood, giving reading and writing tutorials to kids by going to their homes. The concept of having more service providers or tutors came to mind. The idea of having center-based tutors online, was proposed and was conceptualized in response to the growing need for non-traditional learning that promotes self-discovery, knowledge construction, group-based discussions and transformational learning, which is beneficial to students who want to exercise their flexibility and options on what to learn. | |
