DESCRIPTION: Founded in 1971 by Dr. Larry Ward, Food For The Hungry (FH) is a christian relief and development organization committed to helping the poor overcome hunger and poverty through sustainable development programs. The work of FH in the Philippines starded in 1978 through Child Sponsorship Program serving the Vietnamese refugees who came to the Philippines because of vietnam war. In 1992, the Food For Th Hungry Philippines (FH Phils) was incorporated with the securities and exchange commisson as a non- stock, humanitarian, relief and development organization. FH Philippine's latest registration with the Department of Social Welfare & Development is for a period of three years, Feb.28,2014. It also has obtain accreditation as done institution for three (3) years, April 7, 2011 to April 7, 2014. | |
