DESCRIPTION: On July 4, 2008, the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Foundation, Inc. was founded by the family and friends of the late Justice Palma. The Foundation was established to honor the life and career of one of the most significant and honorable Filipino women. Its purpose is To perpetuate the memory of the late Supreme Court Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma, a Woman of Firsts in the legal profession and champion of the cause of democracy, human rights, truth, freedom, and justice in the Philippines, to serve as an inspiration for future generation of Filipinos especially the youth by fostering the collection and preservation of her writings, documents, and other memorabilia and by sponsoring or initiating projects and activities intended for the advancement of the rule of law, freedom, justice, democracy, peace, human rights and legal education and for the upliftment of the poor and underprivileged Filipinos. | |
