DESCRIPTION: The British International School of Phnom Penh is a private school established in 1995 to provide education to the children living in Phnom Penh following the British Curriculum. The school is situated in the residential area of the capital city. Students are taught in English and the curriculum provided by the school is one that follows the National Curriculum of the United Kingdom. Students are offered an educational programme made of traditional values and modern methodology. The school is organised into Elementary (Year 1 to Year 6) and Secondary (Year 7 to Year 13).The academic year ,from August to June ,is divided into three terms. The school is a registered Centre of Examination of CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) and all board examinations are sent to the United Kingdom to be assessed. Students are prepared for IGCSE at age 16 in Year 11 and for A Level above 16 in Year 13. The current roll is 700 students comprising of 23 different nationalities. | |
