DESCRIPTION: The Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre) is an inter-governmental UN like organisation with its Headquarters in New Delhi (India). Its membership includes 45 countries from Latin America, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Currently Egypt holds the office of the President of the Centre. The objectives of the Centre include South-South and North-South cooperation and promotion of collaboration among scientists and technologists and scientific organisations from non-aligned and other developing countries. The Centre organises workshops and training programmes on various scientific and technological topics; implements Fellowship schemes; brings out scientific publications and a quarterly NAM S&T Newsletter.
