The Institute mobilizes community action to achieve lasting solutions for addressing root causes and consequences of poverty through: working in partnership with rural communities and their stakeholders to enable the poor and disadvantaged to effect meaningful change in their lives; training development practitioners around the world based on practical field experience; and engaging in action research, publishing, and sharing lessons of what works to facilitate learning among practitioners and policy-makers. | |
