The company was founded in the 1950¿s when its main business was in the garment industry. Sehwani Incorporated then diversified in the 1970¿s by adding various business interests such as restaurants, insurance, real estate and manpower. In the 1990¿s Sehwani Manpower Corporation, International (SMCI) was formally launched to primarily cater the domestic market in the Philippines. In view of the International demand for skilled and qualified workers, SMCI applied for an international license with POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
