DESCRIPTION: Full Service Credit Union with over $138M in assets with 5 branches statewide. This Credit Union, originally Wyoming Employees Federal Credit Union, began in March 1954 by volunteers taking payments and opening accounts in the afternoon. In 1960, the first full-time employee was hired. By 1976 the Credit Union had three employees and a full-time manager. On completion of the new building in 1980, the Credit Union moved to the present Main Branch location. In the fall of 1979, Wyoming Employees Federal Credit Union opened its first branch office in Lander, Wyoming. We opened and subsequently closed branch offices in Rawlins, Wheatland, and Evanston. In 1996 we opened our branch in Jackson and in 2000 reopened our branch in Rawlins after we purchased Parco Community Federal Credit Union (which was liquidated by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA)). | |
