DESCRIPTION: Oregon Ocean is an exciting new campaign formed by seven conservation organizations with a mission of conserving Oregon¿s ocean. A pivotal goal of this campaign is to establish a system of marine protected areas, including substantial fully protected areas that protect biodiversity and ecosystem integrity in Oregon. This campaign is linked directly to the Ocean Wilderness Network (OWN), which is a region-wide coalition of conservation organizations with a similar goal (www.oceanwildernessnetwork.org). | |
