DESCRIPTION: Himalayan Action Research Centre (HARC) is a voluntary organization working with grassroot people for last 14-15 years in Uttrakhand region of Central Himalaya. As a Development Educator and Environmental Educator, vision of HARC is to promote a model of development for Uttranchal region that builds on local people capacities and local resources. The main focus of HARC is on Human Resource Development (HRD). The organization has its Centre for Advocacy and Networking in Dehra Dun and Centre for Extension Education in District Uttarkashi. Natural Resource Management, Research & Documentation, Dissemination of information, Women Empowerment, Marketing of organic products through Federations are the main activities of HARC. | |
