DESCRIPTION: The Alaska Teaching Fellows recruits outstanding young and mid-career professionals and recent college graduates to teach where they are most needed in Alaska. Our mission is to attract a high-quality cadre of teachers prepared to meet the educational needs of rural students across Alaska, within many districts that have shown a persistent need for excellent teachers. While we are looking for people from all walks of life -working professionals who want to become teachers, recently graduated non-education majors - we want people who can impact our children's education and strengthen our communities. | |
