DESCRIPTION: The Fresh Air Fund operates summer camps in Fishkill New York for the benefit and enjoyment of inner-city youth. There are a total of five summer camps on the property known as Sharpe Reservation. 3,000 children participate in the camping experience each summer. As part of this operation, there is a small demonstration farm used for educational purposes. Seven staff are employed at this area each summer from mid-June to the end of August to teach children about agriculture in New York state. There are also many positions available for general counselors and program specialists. | |
