DESCRIPTION: We're a church of English-speaking ex-Pats from Canada, the States, etc. who are here in Taiwan, working, teaching, and/or evangelizing. We're looking for musicians to join our Gospel/Blues/Rock band, to play at some worship, but primarily travel around Kaohsiung and the surrounding area playing for the secular and/or other faith-based organizations. We're a church that was started by missionaries who wanted to worship in English and a vibrant Christain Education program has grown from that. Most of our members are families with children: Morrison Academy of Kaohsiung teachers, and missionaries. Our services are casual/contemporary, and as we come from many denominations we try to appease styles of high-church as well. We hope our music ministry to be an artistic as well as an evangelizing success. With mixtures of the Staple Singers, Aretha Franklin, the Allman Brothers Band, Sam Cooke, etc. we want to play music that is exciting, loud, danceable, and all about God! | |
