DESCRIPTION: Funded through the Office of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing. Currently serves ten counties: Adams, Benton, Columbia, Franklin, Garfield, Kittitas, Klickitat, Walla Walla, & Yakima. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life by empowering Deaf, Deaf-Blind, & Hard of Hearing individuals and their families. This is accomplished through the provision of appropriate services, opportunities and programs. We strive to promote greater understanding and acceptance of hearing loss and Deaf Culture through education and sensitivity training. We offer the following Client Services: Equal Access Assistance; Education and Training; Outreach-Website, newsletters, service delivery presentations to federal, state, county city officials; Communication Access Service; Teleconference; and Rental & Retail Sales. | |
