DESCRIPTION: Windermere House Resort Hotel is a seasonal Resort in Muskoka on the shores of Lake Rosseau, operating for the last 133 years. Considered to be one of the landmarks in the area, the Hotel was totally destroyed by fire in 1996 during the filming of a movie. Re-opening in 1997, the Hotel continues the traditon of fine dining and gracious hospitality started by Thomas Aiken in the middle of the 19th century. | |
