DESCRIPTION: The Pearl2 project is designed to alleviate poverty in the Philippines. It will support the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that create meaningful jobs for both men and women. This will be done by strengthening the capacity of business support organizations (BSOs) so that these organizations can deliver better services to their SME members. The Pearl2 project will catalyze the building of partnerships. It will build partnerships at the level of government agencies and departments, business associations and councils, universities and polytechnic institutions, non-government organizations and individual firms and enterprises. The relationships will be exciting, synergistic and generate a flow of activity and resources that will stimulate social and economic development in the Philippines.
