DESCRIPTION: The CancerClimber Association (CCA) is an organization committed to cancer patients and survivors. CCA encourages patients and survivors to participate in many different activities. Sean Swarner, who was sickened by cancer not once, but twice, from the age of 13, started CCA. Swarner has fought his way to health ignoring the prognosis that he had a mere 2 weeks to live. CCA is an association that, led by Swarner, raises money for both cancer research as well as money to fund events for cancer patients. The money is raised through appearances, speeches, and events involving Swarner. In addition, Swarner hopes to become one of the few people in the world to climb the Seven Summits and trek to both poles. | |
