DESCRIPTION: Medicolegal Investigator/Physician Assistant Description: A physician assistant position as a Medicolegal Investigator at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, City of New York, conducts investigations of deaths that result from criminal violence, suicide, accidents (mechanical and environmental), deaths in correctional facilities, sudden deaths of persons in apparent good health, deaths unattended by a physician, and any deaths that occur in a suspicious or unusual manner. Most of these investigations occur at the site of the death. Weekend and holiday assignments are required. Work location may be in any of the five boroughs of New York City. This is a 7-day per week, 24-hour operation. Five positions are currently available (July, 2003). Minimum Qualification Requirements: 1.
