DESCRIPTION: Lambert House is a center for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and their allies that encourages empowerment through the development of leadership, social, and life skills. Currently, Lambert House offers programs and activities to develop the potential of GLBTQ youth in the community, and is committed to youth participation and leadership within the organization. In collaboration with community partners, Lambert House is able to offer a variety of services including support groups, mental health counseling and referral, and HIV testing/counseling. Lambert House has 6 full-time equivalent staff positions, paid youth interns, and over 100 volunteers. The Board of Directors ranges from 7 to 17 members. In 2002, Lambert House served over 900 new youth with a budget of $334,000. | |
