DESCRIPTION: Trails Youth Initiatives is a non-profit youth development programme & private school located just outside of Toronto. We work with vulnerable youth from inner city Toronto, ages 12-16 years. At our core, we aim to have fun with a purpose, create an emotionally and physically safe environment, and build roots and wings for our youth. Through participation in challenging experiences, Trails aims to increase the skills, knowledge and confidence of our participants so that they become contributing members of society. Trails hires 16 group facilitators to deliver programmes to each of our 5 age groups. Each age group focuses on 6 programme areas: Communication and Group Skills, Healthy Living, Inside-Out (examining values and beliefs), Outdoor Skills, Building Wings and Service. We also offer high school credits in healthy active living and learning strategies. | |
