DESCRIPTION: The El Colegio de Education Basica San Juan is an institution of private education. The Colege is considered a great service to the teenagers of San Juan and the nearby villages. The village of beautiful San Juan is located next to Sanarate El Progreso Guatemala. The school was founded in 1996. We have classes for 7th to 9th grade students. Volunteer teachers are needed for ART, ENGLISH, MUSIC, BUSINESS, COMPUTER programs. Volunteers will live in the village for up to 10 months while living with local families. Volunteers are provided with their room and board. Volunteers are given the opportunity to work in the nearby community. Necessary volunteer qualifications are: 1. College student enrolled in an ART, ENGLISH or MUSIC teaching program. 2. Be at least 20 years old. 3. Single or Married with no children. 4. Bilingual preferred. El Colegio has a great need for the following: 1. Computers. 2. School Supplies. 3. Music Instruments. 4. Spanish and English Textbooks. | |
