DESCRIPTION: Safe Space is a not-for-profit organization that assists over 30,000 of New York's most at-risk kids and families. We concentrate our services on those most vulnerable- abused and neglected children. We provide a broad array of services- homes for teen mothers and their babies, emergency residences for adolescents in crisis, mental health services, creative arts therapy, community health education, school-based enrichment programs, The HOPE Players peer outreach/theater group for at-risk youth, and counseling targeted to young people. At Safe Space, we believe in the resiliency of children and we are committed to bringing kids back from the edge, enabling them to actualize their own potential. | |
