DESCRIPTION: The HEALTHSOUTH Rehabilitation Hospital of Altoona is a 70-bed licensed inpatient rehab hospital located in Central Pennsylvania. We treat a wide variety of diagnoses: brain injury, CVA, Oncology, Cardiac, Pulmonary, spinal cord, pediatrics, day treatment, etc. We also have 11 outpatient clinics all within a 50 mile radius of our main hospital. We currently have approximately 375 employees. We recently ranked #1 in the Country in Patient Outcomes and Patient Satisfaction. Our number one focus is our patients. Altoona is located in Central Pennsylvania. We are home of the Altoona Curve, the Pittsburgh Pirate AA Team affiliate. We are also a huge high school sports town, being known as the Girls Basketball Mecca of Central PA. We are close to Raystown Lake for water sports and several ski resorts. We are less than one hour away from State College, home of the Penn State Nittany Lions and about 1.5 hours away from Pittsburgh. | |
