DESCRIPTION: Wildcat III Academy is an alternative charter high school in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx which caters to students from all over the city who have been unsuccessful in their previous institutions. We offer a 9-5 day, a 12-month school year and a safe, drug & violence-free environment where young women and men can not only complete their secondary education, but also sample the working world. As a response to NYS "School to Work" legislation, all students participate in 20-hour, no-cost internships on alternating weeks from September through June. Successful participants have the option of attending fulltime school or fulltime internship during the six-week summer term. | |
