DESCRIPTION: The Institute for Laser Medicine and Bio-Photnoics of Shanghai Jiao-Tong University (SJTU) is a newly established, multi-disciplinary research institute dedicated for advanced research, application, and commercialization of laser medicine and bio-photonics with the goal to become the national center of excellence in the field. The Institute belongs to Department of Biomedical Engineering, College of Life Science and Technologies of SJTU, which is ranked top 3 research and education program in Biomedical Engineering in the nation, and has both state approved Ph.D and Post-Doctoral training program. The main research directions of the institute include: 1. Laser-Tissue Interaction; 2. Optical Bio-imaging and Diagnostics (OCT and Endo imaging is highly preferred), 3. Minimally Invasive, Smart Endoscopic Surgery; 4. Ophthalmology and Visual Optics. | |
