DESCRIPTION: Sharp Visions was founded in 1992 by Ruth E. Siegfried, a noted MH/MR professional, to expand opportunities for persons who experience very challenging disabilities. We are a diverse group of people, providing & receiving community-oriented services. We are a dedicated group; we have served over 300 people, and we employ over 250 staff members. Our unique approaches center on each individual - designing supports and services entirely from the perspective of that person and their own circle of supportive family members and friends. Sharp Visions continues to provide a range of community & therapeutic services to both children and adults who experience various combinations of disabilities. Diagnoses may include developmental, cognitive, psychiatric, behavioral, environmental, and many other disabilities. We now serve more than 200 individuals and their families in 10 Western Pennsylvania counties. | |
