DESCRIPTION: Settlement College Readiness Program, Inc. is a non-profit organization funded by a Department of Education TRIO Talent Search grant. It serves at least 1000 students per year in East Harlem, Harlem, and the South Bronx. Counselors are based in six target high schools in New York City, as well as two middle schools. Postsecondary planning services are provided through a unique combination of individual counseling, after-school programming, and community outreach. Two 6-week summer programs provide enrichment for outstanding students in science and technology or writing and theater. | |
