DESCRIPTION: Dryden and District Association for Community Living (DDACL)offers services to adults with developmental disabilities. Vocational Services offers skills training, woodworking, contract work within the community, engraving and printing. Community Connections (CC)is for retired/semi-retired individuals. Primary goal of CC is to connect with volunteers from the community. Residential Services (RES)offers 24-hour care. Supported Independent Living (SIL) offers hours of service according to each individual's needs. RES and SIL assist with daily living skills, including healthcare and hygiene, financial management, shopping, nutrition, cooking and meal planning, housekeeping, social skills, community awareness and connections, laundry and clothing care, functional academics, transportation and mobility, recreation and leisure, and communication. The association members annually elect an 8-member Board of Directors to govern the agency and to manage the affairs of the association. | |
