DESCRIPTION: OUR VISION To create a Laguna Sanctuary of 10,000 acres, and to restore large areas of connected land that reflect the historical natural environment. The process of creating the Sanctuary will restore connections between the wetlands and uplands, the past and present, and our human and biological communities. OUR GOALS Restoration To create an expanse of habitat that allows for the increase of existing native plants and animals, and the return of missing species. Preservation To shelter land with the promise of permanent protection, and to care for the Laguna as stewards of its dynamic ecosystem. Education To share our enthusiasm and appreciation for the Laguna, and to provide accurate information that enhances the community's knowledge. | |
