DESCRIPTION: The IYEP is a non profit organisation in Ghana West Africa, founded in 1994 to involve individuals and groups in cross-cultural programmes. It is the affiliate member of the Experiment in International Living - Vermont, USA. Years of offering cross-cultural programmes to many participants from different cultures, we have come to understand that the individual's developmental process requires an environment that promotes responsibilty for ones own thoughts and actions. The Academy of Screen Arts will provide training in cinematic arts for local and regional artists to achieve their potentials. Television and film serve as powerful tools to educate, inform and entertain mass audiences. Ghana's informed and expert participation in the media and film industry is vital, if visions highlighting its numerous issues are to be clearly presented by indegenous peoples from their own perspective. | |
