DESCRIPTION: The Henry Street Settlement aids to many different needs in Manhattan. The group that am currently invloved in is a group called the Peer Training Institute. In this program the young people between the ages of 14-21 are trained on various topics based around HIV/AIDS, Pregnancy Prevention, Contraceptive use, Decision Making Models, Hopes and Dreams, Cleaning Needles, Properly using condoms and any contraceptives and many other issues that are affecting a large number of youth in our community. | |
