DESCRIPTION: PacWest Racing Group, founded in 1993 by Seattle businessman and telecommunications pioneer Bruce R. McCaw, has quickly become one of the most highly-respected organizations in motorsports. PacWest Racing Group fields two entries in the FedEx Championship Series as well as two entries in the Dayton Indy Lights Series (a spec series to train crews and drivers for CART). The PacWest Champ Car team has 3 pole positions and 5 victories, while the lights team has 3 pole positions, 8 victories and the 2000 season championship title. PacWest Race operations are headquartered in Indianapolis in a 32,000 square foot purpose-built facility that includes an engineering department equipped with the latest CAD workstations, business offices, a full-service fabrication and machine shop with CNC capability, and dedicated shock development and Data acquisition areas. | |
