DESCRIPTION: St Maarten Ports Authority seeks Managing Director to report to the Supervisory Board of Directors. This person will have overall institutional responsibility for: Maritime Safety/Security, Maritime Environmental, Int'l IMO, National/Local Conventions, Laws, Rules & Regulations Efficient/effective development, upkeep & exploitation of all harbors on St Maarten, with all related waters, roads, constructions, institutions, equipment, aids to navigation, structures on and offshore Effective management/leadership of the company & resources Promoting the Port & its facilities to increase cruise tourism & cargo The performance of all Int'l/National Maritime Admin duties Superb interpersonal/negotiation skills. Fluent English. Dutch/Spanish/French an asset Knowledge/experience of Int'l Maritime Law/Admin desired MBA. Prefered with a Nautical/Tech college Degree at HND/BSc. level Or suitable mix of education, knowledge & experience Ideal age 40 - 50 yrs Pref given to Antilleans | |
