DESCRIPTION: Pennfield Corporation is an integrated feed manufacturing and food provisions company made up of two divisions, Ag Prducts and Consumer Foods. The Ag Products division is focused on dairy and sport horse nutrition while supporting the Consumer Foods Division with poultry feeds for a broiler processing business. In addition to processing poultry for nitch markets on the east coast, the Consumer Foods division includes Ritter Food Service, a food provisioner business supplying institutions and restaurants with a complete line of food products. Pennfield Corporation is a privately held corporation that resulted from the merger of Horn Feeds of York PA and Miller Bushong of Lancaster PA in 1970. Both feed companies had been in existance since the 1920s and merged in 1970 to become a more dominant nutrition supplier in the middle Atlantic states. Company objectives are to continue growing the business through the right acquisitions and expanding market share. | |
