DESCRIPTION: The University of Asia and the Pacific is a private, not-for-profit institution of higher learning. it traces its beginnings to 33 years ago, when te Center for Research and Communication (CRC) was established. CRC was a think-tank conducting economic and social research and giving garduate courses to economics. It gradually exp-anded its educational activities to other fields. In 1995, it was granted University status by the Commission on Higher Education and has since been known as the University of Asia and the Pacific. The UA&P campus, located in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines, hosts about 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The University has long-term plans for multicampus system offering various fields of specialization and emphasizing professional competence founded on a strong liberal arts education. | |
