DESCRIPTION: UNIX ADMINISTRATOR · At least 3 years experience in hands-on Unix systems administration, with proven ability to manage simultaneously a number of Unix servers and 200+ users on a LAN/WAN distributed environment · Demonstrable ability in writing Unix shell scripts (Korn, Posix or C shell) · Excellent problem solving and analysis skills · Skills in any of the following are not pre-requisites but will be considered an advantage: database administration of a large RDBMS on Unix platform (Informix, Oracle), NT systems administration, C programming · Familiar with Solaris, SUNOS and NIS. · This position requires a strong UNIX background in SUN OS and Solaris. · Experience with Network Appliance Filers or other high speed NFS server experience is beneficial as well. · Above-average English speaking skills as well as excellent communication and customer skills required. | |
