Acceptance Letter

If you have the fortune of being offered the job you want, it is not always necessary to write an acceptance letter, but it could do good in the eyes of your new employer by reflecting your level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Here are 3 major points to follow in writing an acceptance letter:

  1. Express your appreciation to the company for choosing you among the other candidates.
  2. Reconfirm the arrangements regarding the starting date, compensation or specific conditions.
  3. Reiterate your interest in accepting the offer.

Sample:

Obi Won Kenobi
1 Distant Planet Place,
Hollywood, Ca, 91111

February 24, 2000

Dear Mr. Kenobi:

It is with pleasure that I accept your offer to work as a Jedi Apprentice at your company.

I will be available to report to work on Monday, February 29, 2000.

Thank you for the confidence you are placing in me. I look forward to working on your team.

Sincerely,
