Skills are your marketable skills. Develop these skills to your advantage.
List your talents, your areas of expertise, the language you are proficient
with, all the things you have the ability to do. It doesn't matter
if it's been a long time since you've used these skills.
Recycle
your skills. If you have taken a course in foreign language and forgot
most of them, learn and review them again. If
you are knowledgeable in computers, upgrade your skills to
the latest computer knowledge and trends. Talents are within you and
will always be there. All you need is to recognize them, tap them
within you and sharpen it for use.
Try
taking new courses, part-time jobs, internship or do volunteer works
to hone your skills -- it will help. It is important to develop your
career skills for it will be your edge to this competitive world of
job hunting.
