DESCRIPTION: The Independent Living Learning Centre caters to the needs of children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental conditions. The aim has been to promote the students' optimum quality of life and by maximizing their learning potential. ILLC hopes to prepare them for independent living and self-sufficiency in the domains for self care, work and recreation through contemporary and functional approaches in special education. ILLC's interdisciplinary program is dedicated to promote effective transitioning of an individual from the school or clinic to actual life contexts. Practical learning activities for independent living are provided in home and community settings to help generalize learning. | |
