DESCRIPTION: The Residency is designed to attract outstanding individuals with no previous coursework in education to teach in our city's classrooms while they earn their teaching credentials and develop themselves as teachers. The program gives Residents the broadest possible exposure to the field of education while simultaneously preparing them for their specific teaching assignments. The Baltimore City Teaching Residency is committed to the idea that through aggressive recruitment, an intensive selection process, comprehensive training, and ongoing support, we can provide the students of BCPSS a new group of teachers that will work to increase the level of achievement and help prepare students to find academic success. | |
