DESCRIPTION: Working from a network of homes and offices using broadband and phone lines, we transmit text of the spoken word with immediacy and accuracy for the benefit of people who rely on captions to understand audio information. Our caption teams consist of a CopyCat and one or more Editors, who collaborate on our website to create completely accurate live transcriptions of remote events, such as classroom lectures, doctor's visits, live news programs, or government-sponsored meetings. We not only effect greater community inclusion for people with disabilities by virtue of the service we provide, we've designed this business to provide a great livelihood for thousands of people with vision, mobility, and stamina limitations who want or need to work from home. All of our contractors earn a great hourly wage for the simple but intense work of listening and copying what others are saying, at the speed of real life. | |
