DESCRIPTION: Officer, Campus Safety February 25, 2002 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES · Provide security and protective services to the campus community by patrolling assigned areas or buildings, enforcing policies and procedures, which may include security of individual building/stationary locations. · Assist professional staff to deter and/or restrain individuals attempting to commit criminal acts or to inflict physical harm on themselves or others; complete necessary administrative forms/reports related to incidents and/or arrests including gathering pertinent information from participants and/or witnesses. · Maintain key control and/or access to secure and restricted locations; maintain a positive relationship with external law enforcement agencies to obtain or exchange relevant protective service information. This is just a brief description, and allows a person to gain valuable law enforcemnt experience and gain training through Naperville Police Department. | |
