DESCRIPTION: We are a non-profit organization started by a group of women who wanted to help change the conditions and solve problems plaguing their community. Our mission is to help people better themselves and their families by empowering them with the skills they need to be independent. We have grown to include a Children's Center, a Family Center, an incubator for small business, fresh produce business, pottery studio, and a considerable amount of realestate. We also provide mortagage counseling, credit repair, community organizing block by block, job developer, GED classes, voter registration, and signing children up for medicval insurance. We do provide information on other organizations and government agencies that provide assisstance in areas we do not. Through aquiring realestate, helping to decrease the illegal drug trafic, provide jobs, providing training and investing in our children, we are turning our community into a placer where people want to live and are proud of it. | |
