DESCRIPTION: Camp El Har is a non-profit, independent, Christian camp. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Function primarily as an outdoor education instructor, working with groups of fifteen or fewer children, teaching them environmental science principles in a fun and challenging way. Teach archery, riflery, canoeing, fishing, orienteering, nature crafts, sports, challenge course, and other activities to outdoor education groups. Work a few weekends a month as a retreat host fulfilling the needs of the group, and cleaning up after the group. Be available to assist and trained as a ropes challenge course facilitator on low and high elements. Spend a portion of time in the office answering phones. Inventory equipment and maintain a clean and safe environment for all recreational activities. Maintain a clean cabin if living on camp property. Share responsibilities to feed and care for the animals in the petting zoo. Be available to work as needed on general camp projects. | |
