DESCRIPTION: A government project which undertakes the following major programs: undergraduate scholarships in S&T; youth science programs; faculty development programs; and S&T manpower studies. It is a service institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)mandated to establish a steady supply of S&T manpower for the present and future S&T manpower demand in the industries, academe and R&D institutions. The various organizational units are: the Office of the Director, the Finance and Administrative Division, the Scholarship and Training Division, the S&T Education Division; and the S&T Manpower Assessment Division. It is headed by a Director assisted by a Deputy Director. It has 43 plantilla positions and employs a number of contractual personnel for its various programs and projects. | |
